I am a graduate of Mount St. Mary's University where I earned a BS in Elementary Education. I have teaching certification in the state of Maryland for Elementary Education, and I am currently working for my certification in Texas. I am originally from San Diego, California, and after I graduated college, I returned home where I worked as a substitute teacher until I was offered a position at The Academy of Bright Horizons teaching pre-kindergarten. The focus of this position was to prepare students for kindergarten. After teaching Pre-K, I worked as a nanny for a 4 year old and 6 year old, helping the older child with homework and study skills. I really love being a teacher, and I look forward to working with your son or daughter. I will use different teaching methods, matching them to the needs of the child, to help them be successful in their studies. I love playing games to teach a concept, and try to make learning fun. I take the time to get to know my students, so that I can make their lessons relative to their life experiences. In my free time, I enjoy softball, hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, and just being active outdoors. I look forward to hearing from you.
