I attended the University of Texas at Austin, the town I reside in currently. While I was in college, I held positions as a teaching assistant and a senior preceptor in various courses there. Mathematics is the area of academic focus for me. As an instructor, I can show you the ins and outs of all levels of algebra, calculus, physics, trigonometry, geometry, and more. I am comfortable with basic elementary concepts, on up to some of the more difficult collegiate material. Nothing about math is challenging to me, and I would like to work with others to help them come to the same understanding.I rely on a lot of visualization when I am teaching. I use charts and things of that nature to illustrate the intricacies of problem solving methods. Questions are encouraged from my students because I realize the importance of clarification, no matter how small or insignificant a concern may be. In math, if one little piece of a puzzle goes unsolved, there is no chance of completing an idea. So, I will definitely nurture the inquisitive nature of all individuals. I am a guitarist who loves to write my own songs and sing. Just like a lot of people, I have a little brother whom I love aggravating, so I could have a lot in common with you or your young student.
