I am a graduate of the University of California Davis, where I majored in Applied Mathematics and minored in Evolution, Ecology, and Biodiversity. While I am stronger in Ecology than in Biology, I am hoping for that to change as I am studying in preparation to take the GRE Biology test. Through this study, my Biology skills are getting better every day, and I greatly enjoy tutoring in this subject. I also enjoy helping students learn organizational skills, and I am willing to tutor in any subject the student is struggling with. I believe that building a student's confidence is the first step that you need to take to succeed. I encourage my students to work hard, and I strive to foster their desire to learn verses merely memorizing facts for a grade. In the past, I have worked with elementary and high school students who are preparing for the American Regional League and the Math Olympiad Competition. I have also helped students study and prepare for the SAT, SAT II Math, ACT, and Calculus AB/BC. When I attended UCD, I tutored undergraduate students in ODEs, Linear Algebra, and Numerical Analysis. In my free time, I enjoy origami, puzzles, playing board games, and kickboxing. I enjoy being around people who are energetic, and I adore pets!
