I consider myself to be a very passionate and happy person. It is my goal each day to be better than I was before, and I strive to impact my environment in a positive way and help the earth to be a better place. I work hard to be transparent and my actions match what I say. My primary goal is to help other people to reach their highest potential.I attended the University of Texas and earned a master's degree and doctorate in Spanish Linguistics. I earned my undergraduate degree at Carleton College. I've been teaching Spanish to both high school and college students. Some of the classes I've taught are Spanish 1-4 and Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish Language and Culture. I've also tutored students during my office hours or through private appointments.I have lived in Costa Rica and traveled to many parts of Spain, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. When I am not working, I love knitting, reading, camping, hiking, and going for walks along the beach. I very much enjoy dancing, especially meringue, salsa, charanga, and cumbia. In addition, I also practice the ancient practices of Qigong and yoga. I am a grateful person who celebrates life every day.
