My goal is to help you achieve yours. My passion for tutoring is rooted in the way that a good tutor becomes a part of the journey, helping you to tackle each new skill or assignment along the road to your ultimate objective. I graduated from the University of Havana as a Languages Translator and Interpreter. My college-level educational experience includes teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) to students at the University with the goal of achieving mastery in both reading and writing skills. In addition, I taught a Non-Spanish Speakers Faculty, which was quite challenging given the diverse backgrounds of the Chinese students. Key areas in the course included Spanish grammar and public speaking, with some exposure to translation. When teaching languages, I prefer immersing the student in both the language and the culture from the very beginning. I view myself as not just an instructor, but a resource for my students. My approach involves presentation, verification and repetition, which I believe allows me to assess where students are at the outset, at any point during our work together and upon attainment of their goals. I'm available for tutoring in Italian, Spanish, English, and ESL. I enjoy traveling.
