Rutgers University-New Brunswick - Bachelors, Geology and Marine Science , University of Oklahoma - Masters, Geology

I earned my bachelor's degree with a double major in Marine Science and Earth Science from Rutgers University. I then went on to earn my master's in Geology from the University of Oklahoma. The goal I try to achieve through tutoring is to instill confidence in each and every student I work with, not just in the material we are working with but also in general classroom and educational skills. I love teaching both Science and Math because I feel like the process of taking a complicated problem and breaking it down into parts is something that students can take outside of school and apply in the real world, even if sometimes they have to look outside the box to find the answers they are seeking. The subjects I specialize in teaching are Geology and Oceanography. These fields always appealed to me because they gave me the opportunity to question and then better understand the physical world we live in every day. I strongly believe that everyone, not just students, should be on a lifelong journey of learning. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my two cats, exploring museums and nature, traveling, cooking, and arts and crafts.
