Hello. My name is Jim, and I live in Austin, Texas and I love to learn. I have attended California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and Texas State University-San Marcos. My tutoring and teaching experience includes two years of tutoring at Austin Community College and working for three years as a secondary Math teacher. I also taught general ed courses, including College Algebra, for three years at a career school. My tutoring approach is to ensure that when our sessions are over, the student can do more than simply complete the assignments. I want them to have truly grasped the concepts that were presented. Subjects that I can tutor include Algebra 1 - 4, Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Calculus, Grammar and Mechanics, Competition Math, Arithmetic, Finite Mathematics, Pre-Algebra, English, and Business Statistics. I can also help a student prepare for the GMAT, the ACT (Math), and the SAT (Math Level 1 and Level 2).
