Private tutor in Austin, TX

Education

Completing a bachelors degree in physics.

Experience

My career goal is to teach mathematics and physics at the college level. I will have a certificate to teach physics up to grade twelve by January 2016, but I am very comfortable with tutoring in physics up to electromagnetism at the college level and mathematics to differential equations. I'd like to tutor because I genuinely love these subjects and find it both rewarding and enjoyable to help others find their own appreciation for them. Professionally, tutoring will help me identify common, real-world problems students have and pedagogical solutions to those problems.

Hobbies

In addition to mathematics and physics, I love art and enjoy taking trips to museums regularly in addition to painting and designing sculpture. I love reading and working through philosophical arguments, especially Nietzsche, Wittgenstein, Russell, Whitehead and Derida. I have four semesters of French and am taking a mooc, provided by the Sorbonne, covering classical French theater to modern theater with readings in the original French. Dostoevsky is my favorite author. I love classical music and enjoy watching performances on Medici.tv (highly recommend a visit!!). Not a big fan of television, but I do enjoy British panel/ quiz shows.
