Private tutor in Austin, TX

Education

Austin Community College, AAS Human Services Generalist, 3.6 G.P.A.

Experience

Some of my experience working with students includes: Supplemental Instruction Leader - Introduction to Psychology, Supplemental Instruction Leader - English Composition 1, Reading and Writing tutor for the Men of Color Program. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to give back, but what I'm giving back are the tools to help others open doors. I don't believe in just strengthening a student in one particular subject... I strengthen the student, so he or she becomes self-sufficient. I gained a great love for psychology after taking introduction to psychology my second semester at Austin Community College. Gaining a better understanding of human cognition helped me balance out things in my personal life, and also academically. Psychology saved my life. I consider myself to be a life time student, and I hope to inspire others to do likewise.

Hobbies

I am big on health, I've been studying the effect of herbs on the human body for over 4 years. I currently own an essential oil company, and plan on turning it into a holistic health practice. I also enjoy studying history from a political point of view to help understand certain mistakes made in history.
