Experience
I attended Texas A&M University for my bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences. I then went to Tulane University, where I studied for my graduate degree in public health and tropical medicine. I'm currently pursuing a certificate to teach middle school and high school level life sciences in Texas. I currently have a probationary license to teach, and I've taken all the necessary coursework. As for tutoring, I understand how valuable individual attention is to help students become more confident in their abilities and improve their grades. I used tutoring myself as a student, and was very beneficial for me considering my dyslexia and dysgraphia. Because of my own learning disabilities, I understand that every student learns in their own unique way. I had to figure out what works best for me, and I will work with my students to find out what works best for them. I have experience tutoring students from the elementary school level through the college level. I enjoy tutoring the sciences, and I'm looking forward to explaining science topics to students and helping them realize their full academic potential. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my dog and cooking.
