My name is Anna, and I was born and raised in Russia but I've lived in France almost all my adult life. I hold a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics, English, and French language. After graduating with the highest honors, the professors asked me to stay and teach French at the Romance Philology Department. A year later I moved to France, enrolled at the Aix-Marseille University, and started my professional career. While attending Aix-Marseille University I also taught Russian at Bonjour Provence, a Foreign Languages Institute, and gave private French classes to friends and acquaintances. After graduating from the Institute of Business Administration at Aix-Marseille University, I started my career as Human Resources manager. While I enjoyed advancing through my career, the beauty and complexity of languages always remained top of mind, and I have always had a strong passion for teaching and helping others succeed. After spending 15 years in France I quitted my HR manager job and came to the United States, the land of unlimited opportunities, to pursue my life's true calling: teaching languages. While Russian is my first language, French has become my life's dominant language. I am also fluent in English and can speak a little bit of Spanish. My teaching approach: By leveraging my knowledge in a diverse set of academic disciplines such as pedagogy, sociology (human behavior), and psychology, I am able to make the learning process enjoyable, dynamic, and challenging while achieving quick and steady progress. As a linguist I understand all aspects of the Russian and French language in depth. FRENCH I think most people believe French is a difficult language to learn. As my French language student, I will show you otherwise. French is an easy language to master if you have the right teacher, and speaking and understanding the language is likely within your reach, specially for English speakers. For beginners: During my French studying journey I had the unique privilege to learn French from one of the most talented professors in Russia, who shared with me her secrets that enable beginners to learn French very quickly. I'm also really good at encouraging self-confidence, which helps my students feel linguistically secure enough to make a leap into fluid communication. For intermediate and advanced levels: My formal linguistic training in the French language combined with 15 years of living in France enable me to teach the French language at any level. Regardless whether you are looking to improve your conversational French, your reading and writing skills, your pronunciation, or your business French, I can likely help you get there. RUSSIAN I guarantee that I can teach you read cyrillic alphabet in just one hour, and I can break down all aspects of the Russian language to make the learning process as simple and effective as possible. I enjoy teaching in person and online via Skype. I work with students across all levels and ages, from beginner to advanced, and can help you prepare for different exams. After an initial consultation I will create a tailored learning plan for your unique profile and objectives.
