I'm an engineer and musician who is skilled at utilizing math for applications in the real world. I attended the University of Texas - Austin for my bachelor's degree in civil engineering, and I've worked in the industry professionally as well. I also have a masters degree in music that I earned at Indiana University. Before I became an engineer, I taught music lessons as well. Overall, I have a lot of experience working with students individually and in applying mathematical principles in useful ways. As such, I'm very skilled at helping other students understand why math concepts are important and how they are used in real life. By drawing relationships between math concepts and things students know about or enjoy, my students stay engaged and motivated to learn more. When I have free time, I like to run, ride my bike, cook, and cuddle with my dog. I also enjoy textile arts.
