Experience
I worked as a teacher of Social Studies for high school students for seven years. During my many years as a H.S. teacher, I taught a variety of classes, including United States History, Global History, Global Geography, Economics (including Microeconomics, Honors and Advanced Placement courses), and Government, to name a few. I'm a skilled writer as well. I can work with students in English coursework and to improve their essay editing, writing, and grammar and mechanics. My greatest area of experience is Economics, but I'm extremely proficient in teaching all of the other above-mentioned courses. I've also tutored students in high school level Spanish (I-II). I'm presently in the process of earning a graduate degree in Mass Communications. As a teacher, I always try to offer students a number of techniques and methods to best understand the material they're having difficulty with. I also always try to encourage students to stay confident in themselves and their performance. I'm patient and diligent, and I love to see students improve and succeed. I would be happy to offer references to anyone potentially interested in working with me. I attended Azusa Pacific University, and I'm based in Austin, Texas.
