I have a decade of experience teaching at the elementary school level. During that time, I've taught social studies, language arts, and math. I'm also certified in special education and ESL. I enjoy tutoring because I get to work with students directly and connect with them on their needs to help them achieve success. When students have difficulty understanding of concepts, school can be very overwhelming. I can help students work through these obstacles using sessions that are fun and laid back. I encourage open medication with my students, and I tie concepts to their practical applications to make learning easier and to increase understanding. In my free time, I enjoy comedy, cooking, traveling, and songwriting.
