Hi, My name is Jia Yi Li and I graduated from Texas State University in the Fall of 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree as an Education Major in Interdisciplinary Studies (Grades 4-8 Mathematics Teacher Certification).
Experience
As a student teacher in 2015, I taught and tutored small groups of middle school students. In the spring of 2016, I worked at an elementary school tutoring up to 8 students each day in grades 3-5. Tutoring is a very challenging job because each student is unique and some of them work better in smaller group. However, it is also a very rewarding job and I was so pleases to see my students gain the ability to solve problems themselves and pass the STAAR test.
